Morocco Bound is a community focussed, independent bookshop/beer shop/events space in Bermondsey, South East London. We host many events led by a range of creatives such as musicians, authors, poets and artists, creating a supportive environment whilst connecting a local network of collaborators and friends.
From its humble beginnings as a garage… MB owner, architect & novelist Jonathan Dransfield transformed MB into an office space, then a bookshop, then a beer shop during COVID-19, until finally we were able to come back together again & the space transformed into a thriving community hub providing SE1 with live music, poetry nights, community events, quiz nights, tastings, book club, talks, comedy, film screenings, charity fundraisers, book launches and more!
We LOVE this space & all of the joy it brings, but times are getting harder for small, independent creative spaces like this. Our sound system is falling behind the times a bit and we want to provide all of the incredible artists who we host here, with a system that reflects their talent!
We would be so appreciative if you could donate anything to make sure we can keep providing artists with the space to perform, and audiences the space to come together & experience the joys of life… music, beer, books, friends & warmth!
