Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
We want to continue our programme of upgrading with our changing room facilities to create gender-specific, private and accessible spaces.
Our fundraising is being supported by Sport England and every £ donated will be matched up to £15,000. This means that as a club we need to raise £15,000 for the club to receive £30,000! This is a huge opportunity for the club to receive a significant amount of money to benefit our club.
Morley Rugby Football Club offers rugby and physical activity from age 5 through to adulthood which includes a recently established women's team. We provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive community space where children, young people, families, girls, women and local residents can grow, thrive and take part in positive physical activity regardless of background or ability. We provide activity for over 250 children and young people as well as both men's and women's senior teams and veterans opportunities. As a club we are a central community hub hosting school activities, sports camps, charity events, social gatherings and family engagement.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We urgently need to complete a major refurbishment of our outdated changing facilities to create safe, modern, gender appropriate changing rooms and showers. These improvements are essential to supporting:
By completing the refurbishment we'll be able to remove longstanding barriers that prevent girls, women, low-income families and inactive residents from engaging in rugby and wider physical activity.
What We Need
We are seeking funding to significantly improve and modernise our facilities, ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and fit for our growing community.
The funding will support:
Community impact
By refurbishing our facilities we'll be able to offer rugby and other sport and physical activities to a wider range of our local community as we'll be able to be more inclusive with our offers. We know that our current changing room situation is restricting the participation of our local community. We also know that our refurbishment will open our site to existing community users and more, by improving our changing facilities, we'll be able to welcome more schools and community groups to access our full range of facilities and increase our social value within the local community.
