Aim
A warm, funny British comedy-drama celebrating Morecambe, community and friendship. Help bring this independent film to life on screen.
I'm Krysia, writer and creator of What Happens in Morecambe and bringing it to the screen.
I grew up in Morecambe, and this project is my love letter to the town, its people and the unique characters that make places like Morecambe so special.
Unlike many crowdfunding campaigns, this isn't a project that exists only as an idea. The film is already approximately 80% funded through private investment and industry support. Production is moving forward.
This Kickstarter is an opportunity for people who believe in independent British filmmaking to become part of that journey and help us complete the final stage of funding needed to bring the film to life.
What Happens in Morecambe is a warm, funny and heartfelt British comedy-drama about friendship, community, ambition and finding your place in the world. It's inspired by real experiences and real people, with Morecambe itself playing a starring role.
The funds raised will help complete the remaining production budget, covering key areas including filming costs, equipment, locations, cast and crew expenses, post-production, sound, music, marketing and festival submissions.
What makes this campaign different is that supporters aren't backing a dream that may never happen. They're helping complete a film that is already well on its way to becoming a reality.
