Who are we?

The Loch Ness Challengers

We are a combined crew taking on the ultimate test of endurance: Naomi, Laura, Hollie, and Eli from the SARC Ladies Crew, teaming up with Sharon from the Dolphins. 

Together, we are heading to Scotland to take on Monster the Loch—a gruelling, 22-mile (34.5km) mass-participation race spanning the entire, unpredictable length of Loch Ness

Why are we crowdfunding?

The Heart of Our Boat is Silenced


If you have ever been in a rowing boat, you know that the coxswain is the brain, the navigator, and the heartbeat of the crew. They keep us safe, keep us on time, and push us past our limits.
But right now, our club is struggling with failing, outdated, and broken Cox Boxes.


Without a reliable audio and data system:
  • Safety is compromised: Coaches and crews cannot hear vital navigation commands on busy waterways
  • Athletes lose data: Rowers cannot see their stroke rates or split times, halting their athletic progress.
  • Equipment degrades: Patchy audio means coxswains have to yell, straining their voices and losing control of the boat's rhythm.


How we’ll spend the money raised

A new, reliable unit costs roughly between £600 and £800. 


Every single penny raised through this campaign will go directly toward buying a brand-new Cox Box. 
If we exceed our goal, any extra funds will be used to replace or repair any other equipment needed.
