Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
Help us realize a beautiful riverside concert where we invite the soundscape of the river Thames and its surroundings to co-create with us!
Ever notice how rare it is to just… stop? No phone, no scrolling, no rushing — just listening, breathing, being here. Moments of Idleness / FLOW is a site-specific concert on the Thames, part of Totally Thames Festival 2026. The music will pause — sometimes mid-song — with silence, wind, birdsong, and the river itself becoming part of the piece.
You won't just watch it happen. Performers *and* listeners can initiate the pauses. The audience doesn't just attend — they shape the flow.
It's a shared experiment in presence. What happens when the sound stops — and you're the one who stopped it?

WHY THIS CAMPAIGN EXISTS
Ticket sales cover part of our costs, but because we are performing in a beautifully intimate space, capacity is limited. Rather than pricing people out of an evening dedicated to *stopping*, we are committed to keeping admission accessible, including fully free tickets for anyone who needs them. This campaign closes that gap.
Money raised goes directly toward:
- Musicians' fees — paying every performer fairly for a piece that asks more of them than a standard set (real-time listening, real-time responsiveness, no fixed script)
- Piano tuning, Venue hire
- Free ticket pool— so "no questions asked" is a real promise, not a limited one
- Tea by the river — cups, hot water, simple hosting for the after-piece gathering
- Documentation — a modest audio/video record of the performance, so the pauses the audience creates aren't lost the moment they end
FUNDING GOAL
Goal: £2,800
- Musicians' fees: 40%
- Piano tuning, Venue hire: 25%
- Free ticket pool (subsidizing ~15–20 free seats): 15%
- Tea, cups, simple hosting: 5%
- Documentation (audio/video record): 10%
- Platform & payment fees: 5%
If we go past goal, the first stretch use is more free tickets; the second is professional recording/editing so the piece can live on past one evening.
REWARD TIERS
| Tier | Pledge | What You Get |
| Just Support | £10 | Our thanks, named on the site (if you'd like) |
| Standard Seat | £22 | One standard ticket (same as door price — pledging here just gets funds to us faster) |
| Pay-It-Forward | £22 | Funds one free ticket for someone else, no questions asked |
| Concession Seat | £18 | One concession ticket |
| Two Seats + Tea | £40 | Two tickets, guaranteed spot at the river-tea afterward |
| Founding Supporter | £75 | Two tickets + a thank-you in the documentation credits + early access to the recording |
| River Circle | £150+ | Four tickets + named as a core supporter + a longer post-event conversation with the artists |
This is a small, site-specific, one-night piece — not a large production with reserves to fall back on. Every pound funds something concrete happening on 3 September, not overhead. If the campaign doesn't fully reach goal, the concert still happens; it just means fewer free seats and a lighter recording. We'll tell backers exactly which way it went.
