WHO I AM
I’m Carol-Anne, I live in rural Scotland. My life was changed when I became a friend of  a young refugee family who resettled here under the home office resettlement programme.  

WHY I'M FUNDRAISING
My friend found work as soon as he could to support his family. He now has the opportunity to buy the takeaway business he has been working in for several years. It is hard for resettled families here in a very rural community to earn a living . Some families have left to go to the big cities where life is easier for them but his wife and children love it here. This is their home, where they feel safe. And for us? A young family brings new life-blood into our ageing communities. We want them to stay . Please help me help them be independent. He is a very hard-working, talented chef. His dream is to open his own restaurant and this business will be his first step towards that dream.

WE ARE SO CLOSE
He’s just short of the amount he needs to but this thriving business. I want to help him reach 100% of the business cost by the 1st of April when he must purchase the business or miss this opportunity.
