Aim
As a charity we rely on funding to continue to help offer low cost or gifted coaching and mental health programmes to those most vulnerable.
Introduction
Since January 2012, MOE Foundation has been helping vulnerable people through low cost or gifted places on our programmes. We offer a high quality Coach Certification course, accredited by the Association for Coaching at a fraction of the cost you would pay privately, and a highly praised Mental Health First Aid course. The wider cost of living crisis has caused the percentage of applications for gifted places to steadily increase, and we are struggling to meet this demand and also cover our operating costs. That’s why we want to raise at least £25k to continue offering our programmes in 2026.
Who we serve
We primarily work with other charities to train their frontline staff and management, so they can deliver quality programmes and build a coaching culture at their organisation. MOE Foundation also offers gifted places to the people these charities serve, thereby directly and indirectly helping underprivileged young people, the unemployed, homeless, ex-offenders, and people serving a prison sentence.

Our tagline is Me.Others.Everyone. – As a charity we’re founded on the core belief that by empowering our own lives (me) we can positively impact the lives of the people around us (others) and collectively (everyone) make a difference in the world. We encourage all that attend our programmes to pay it forward, and gift coaching sessions to their community through our 10x initiative. Each graduate gifts 10 free coaching sessions, thereby creating a ripple effect in their community.
We also have a train-the-trainer programme, offering graduates of our Coach Certification course an alternative career path, to become a MOE Coach Trainer, or to take these skills to different programmes in their job or community projects.
Two Door Approach to access
Our courses are also accessible to private individuals and companies. We have always used a "Two Door Approach" for access to our courses, following the example of an eye care facility in India. This approach not only benefits those in need but also helps the organisation make a lasting impact on the communities it serves. The concept was born out of the realisation that it was not fair to decide who could afford to pay for services and who could not.
The premise is that human beings are generally honest and will choose the door that feels appropriate to them based on their financial situation. Those that can pay do so and in doing this, access is gifted to someone who cannot.
But, in today's climate everyone is struggling with finances so our funding model isn't as effective as it has been in the past, and we need your help to maintain the impact of what MOE does.
History
MOE was set up following the sudden death of our founder Darren Robson’s mother. It was his attempt to ensure her legacy of love and compassion was maintained and had an impact on those outside of his family as well. Sadly we lost Darren in 2023 following a lengthy battle with mental illness. That’s why mental health is close to our heart and we are proud to offer the Mental Health First Aid programme.
The custodians of MOE are now close friends, family and trustees all of which share his passion to help others become superhumans.
Here is how it all started:
Today, we have trained nearly 2,000 Certified Coaches; over 200 in the last calendar year alone. We trained 25 Mental Health First Aiders® in 2025 and in total since we started offering this course, 159 people are now proud MHFAers. We are currently supporting 12 charities with our programmes, including CoachBright, Grapevine, Settle, Spark Inside and Yes Futures.
