Courtesy of the Cost of Living Resilience Fund - this means that all contributions to our campaign of up to £150 are quadrupled! So £150 is actually worth a whopping £600 to us. Equally, a £15 donation would be worth £60! This is a very rare and exciting opportunity for us, so please do give what you can and share, share, share.
We've got fantastic and delicious macaroons available as rewards!
Miss Macaroon is a social enterprise based in Birmingham that specialises in making high-quality, handcrafted macaroons while also delivering a significant social impact.
We have supported over 205 young people to gain skills that can change their lives. The cost of living crisis, increase in need and severity of mental health issues means that missions like ours are more important than ever before.
Since 2011, Miss Macaroon has been dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with multiple and complex needs. Through our innovative Macaroons that Make A Difference (MacsMAD) training course, along with ongoing employment and mental health support, we empower individuals from disadvantaged communities. Our mission is to help them build essential skills and confidence, overcome mental health challenges, and secure meaningful, sustainable employment.
I created Miss Macaroon because I wanted to create a social enterprise business that combined my passion for premium quality food – born from my training as a high-end pastry chef at University College Birmingham – and my work in Michelin starred restaurant Purnell’s in Birmingham. But I also wanted to provide opportunities for young people seeking a career and to build confidence in themselves.
Your support is crucial for us to take the next step in our journey of empowering young people through Miss Macaroon. Here's how your contribution will make a difference:
Increase Production and Develop New Products
With your funding, we will hire a Senior Baker, which will allow us to:
These additions will expand our product range, attract new customers, and open up fresh market opportunities.
Reinvest in Our Community
The revenue generated from these new initiatives will be reinvested into our core mission: the Macaroons that Make A Difference (MacsMAD) training course. This program supports young people aged 18 to 35 from deprived areas of Greater Birmingham and the Black Country, including those with mental health issues, disabilities, neurodiversity, lone parents, ex-offenders, care leavers, those at risk of homelessness, and individuals from Black, Asian, or minority ethnic backgrounds.
Expand Our Impact

"Before the MacsMAD programme I wasn’t sure about what I wanted to in life, it was all about trying to survive. When I came to Miss Macaroon it gave me purpose, it made me want to try things that are out of my comfort zone.'
"Growing up and coming to this country I didn’t know about mental health. I thought that talking about my mental health would slow me down. I always had to shut my emotions off and carry on. Sessions with the counsellors have made me more open, if I didn’t have this support over the last couple of months while dealing with something I wouldn’t have been able to cope with it.'
"My work as a kitchen assistant makes me feel like I’m in a bubble to protect us but to go when we have our wings. If you fall down Miss Macaroon has your back and supports to help you grow even after you leave.'
"I thought I was never good enough to go to university but my MacsMAD graduation made me experience achieving something and now I’m building my portfolio to apply to a fashion course."
By supporting Miss Macaroon, you’re not just funding a business—you’re changing lives. Help us expand our reach, innovate our products, and provide critical support to more young people in need.
