Aim

Family matching swimwear and clothing enabling boy/girl siblings to match plus mums, sons, dads and daughters, also catering for plus size.

ABOUT MINI ME AND OUR VISION
Mini Me is all about affordable, family 'matchy matchy' swimwear and clothing.

Our mission is to create timeless, vibrant and durable swimwear and clothing for the whole family.  Our range will cater for all body types, shapes and sizes.   We aim to support UK business' and to embrace, as much as possible, a zero waste policy.

A LITTLE ABOUT US
We are two mothers who, while on holiday together last October, were sitting by the pool watching our children playing and discussing how much we, as mothers, would love to be able to buy swimwear and clothing to match our sons.  Liz has 5 children including boy/girl twins and explained the impossibility of purchasing affordable matching swimwear/clothing for her children....this was the start of the Mini Me adventure that we are currently on!!

On returning from our holiday we researched the 'gap in the market' and run some focus groups to gauge interest.  Our focus groups taught us that affordability and durability is key; plus size products are essential as well as offering both bikini and swimsuit options in our female range (with and without removable cups) in order to cater for different body types.  Our men would like affordability, comfort, a pocket and an adjustable waistband for the boys.

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR?
Mini Me Clothing Ltd is now registered with Companies House and our name and logo have been published in the Trademark journal.

Via independent funding, we have sourced some fabulous chlorine resistant fabrics from a UK based supplier and we are also busy creating our own bespoke designs; we have enrolled a UK based pattern cutter who is making our first samples and is ready to carry out the grading (sizing) prior to bulk manufacture.

We plan to start with a swimwear line and continue into a clothing line as the business grows.

If you would like to find out a little more about us, our families and our designs then please take a moment to watch our video.

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
We are fortunate enough to have been successful in selection for the Back her Business Bring It 2020 competition.   The competition is for female-led start up businesses where eligible entrants are in with a chance of winning a cash prize for their business as well as unlocking grant funding up to £10,000, funded by NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland or Ulster Bank.

In order to be successful we must raise funds via crowdunding and we require public support in the form of any donation you can afford, even if it is £1.  The competition is not just about how much we can raise but also about the number of people who support our business idea.  We really do think we have a found a niche in the market and a cash prize and grant would enable us to bring our idea to fruition!

WHERE WILL YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS GO?
With your help we could make our vision a reality, we are ready to take the next step from sample to retail.  Any funds will be used to develop our brand, launch our e-commerce website and for large scale marketing.

GIVING SOMETHING BACK
While achieving our vision, we would like to give something back and make a positive impact through donating a percentage of our profits to Mind, the Mental Health Charity who provide advice and support to anyone experiencing mental health issues, as this is something that has affected both of our lives at some point and is known to affect 1 in 4 people.

MASSIVE THANK YOU!!
If you have got this far, we would like to thank you so much for taking the time to read our plea, your generosity and support really could change ours and our families lives - oh! and enable you to get your hands on some fantastic matching swimwear and clothing for you and your family!!!

We have added some nice little rewards (listed down the right of this page) to thank you for your support :)
