Help us support female-led artisans in the UK, and bring our mindful, magical self-care gift boxes to the world!

Hi, we’re Leila and Elle, the badass besties behind Lilac Roots!

Lilac Root’s mission is to provide a gift-box service sourcing ethical and sustainable products that are handmade in the UK by small, independent businesses, for customers that are free-spirited, quirky, and eco-conscious.

We set up Lilac Roots in February 2019, and since then we’ve launched 4 different gift boxes, each aligning to a particular chakra, or energy point, in the body. They are:

• Go Love Yourself - gentle energy for the heart chakra
• Resting Beach Face - energising vibes for the solar plexus chakra
• Spice Spice Baby - creative and passionate energy for the sacral chakra
• Rule The Roots - grounding and stabilising the base chakra

We’re passionate about building relationships with other female artisans, like ourselves, and paying them a fair price for their unique work. In doing so, we’re able to curate an incredible selection of products for our customers, that they just won’t find anywhere else. We’re also mindful of our impact on the planet, and we’ve worked hard to ensure that our packaging is plastic-free (even down to our biodegradable packing tape!).

We’ve been selling our lovely gift boxes online via Etsy, and in person at craft markets and yoga / wellness events. We’ve had such great feedback from our customers and we’re excited to push our little business further in the year ahead! 

In 2020, we hope to launch a subscription service, sending little boxes of joy to our customers in the post at either monthly or three-monthly intervals.

To do so, we need your help!

We’re seeking £1000 of funding to help us set up an e-commerce website, develop our brand, and market our service to potential new customers.
