To help military spouses, partners & other halves to build businesses that can survive & thrive alongside the challenges of military life.

Milspo stands for Military Spouses, Partners & Other-halves (SPO). Inclusivity at our heart. 

The MILSPO® Business Network CIC exists to support those experiencing military life from the home front; providing business advice, posting-proof networking, and inspirational stories from our brilliant entrepreneurs so that others know they can do it too! A rising tide lifts all boats.

Milspo is the biggest network of SPO’s in the UK, with over 1,300 members from the whole military family; spouses, partners, widows, and veterans.

More than just a social enterprise, we are a home from home. Somewhere to find, and be inspired by, like-minded friends who just get what operational military life is like.

It’s no secret that life for the partners of those serving can be challenging, particularly when it comes to employment. 

Short notice deployments, moving house every couple of years, postings to isolated parts of the UK (and beyond!) – military life just doesn’t fit well with traditional ideas of employment, which is why many partners have turned to the flexibility of self-employment.

But if running a business is challenging at the best of times, think how hard it is when you have to create a new network of contacts every time you move to a new location. Or when you get posted abroad with little or no support.

That’s where the Milspo Network comes in! Run BY Milspos FOR Milspos. We know what our community needs because we are part of it too. 

For us having a successful business is so much more than an income stream. It defines us in a world where we are hidden in the shadow of our inspirational serving partners, and gives us something, possibly the only thing, not controlled by military life.

But, we NEED YOUR HELP!

We are crowdfunding to help us reach the most isolated military spouses, partners & other halves  with new & tailored support that will benefit our entire community.

This funding will be spent within our local networking chapters (one at each UK military base), and alongside our online community, on specialist courses to help military partners with the tools to become financially independent, through their business.

This funding will help us connect military partners to others who need similar support, and together provide the resources to build the businesses they deserve. They will have access to monthly accountability workshops, online support, and peer-to-peer mentoring - plus, they will make some business BFF's along the way. Helping remove some of the isolation associated with military and entrepreneurial life.
