Mile Cross Phoenix Projects

The Phoenix Centre is community hub located in the heart of Mile Cross, it is run by a small, dedicated team of staff and volunteers. We aim to provide a safe and welcoming space where residents of Mile Cross, and the wider area, can receive support, learn new skills, socialise and more.

As part of our charitable objectives on reducing food poverty and social isolation, we run a weekly Community Cafe, and Phoenix Lounge (warm bank), food bank, a baby and toddler group, a social supermarket, and free packed lunches and activities in the school holidays, we also run MX Care Free, which offers free day trips for young carers.

We have 3 large rooms, a small meeting room, and a fully equipped kitchen for hire for public or private functions. We also have regular hirers such as Slimming World, Brownies, SESMA, Choi Kwang Do, Drawing Buddies, Mighty Oaks Parenting Support group, and many more. We work closely with many organisations such as Assist Trust, Age UK, Mile Cross Primary School, Citizens Advice, and The Common Lot.

Your support will enable us to continue providing these much needed services to one of Norwichs' most deprived areas.
