I think most people will agree that the up and coming General Election is most likely result is that we will have a new Labour Government in Westminster, after 4th July.
My message to the residents of Sittingbourne and Sheppey is to make sure that they have an MP that will represent them 100%. I have not recently moved into the area, I have lived and worked in the borough for more than 40 years. Our area deserves to have someone that will listen to its residents, will be the voice of the unheard, something we have lacked for far too long.
As your MP I want to do my very best to promote all the positive attributes that Sittingbourne and Sheppey have to offer. Our heritage needs to be embraced and tourism encouraged to bring jobs and investment.
We need to make the Government understand that our beautiful countryside is being obliterated by huge new developments, destroying wildlife and wiping out the habitats that nature provides. Our essential farmland is vanishing under concrete. Meanwhile our infrastructure can’t cope, our main roads are clogged up, reducing the country lanes to rat runs. People are struggling to get GP’s, parents are struggling to get the right schools for their children. Public transport has been cut to the bone, to the point that people living in the surrounding villages are becoming increasingly isolated.
A vote for me is a vote to fight for all that is lacking in Sittingbourne and Sheppey.
