Aim
We are running a prize draw to raise funds to purchase a faithful replica of the old Victorian-era post box at Middleton Towers.
The Cause
Middleton Towers used to possess a Victoria Regina (Queen Victoria) era post box, which was fitted into the front wall of the lamp (store) room.
As we work on the brickwork of the old lamp room, we have decided that we wish to bring back this feature through the purchasing of a faithful replica. We have identified this model as a likely target of purchase:

In the future, the letter box will be used for the following purposes:
- For people to put in feedback forms for the station's future functions; a tea room, community garden and heritage railway museum;
- For people to put in any postcards purchased from the station (if stamped), which our volunteers will collect and post out.
- For envelopes containing cash donations.
The Prize
It is the 180th Anniversary year of the station's opening, so some of the prizes on offer are anniversary-themed.
This is your chance to support our project while being in with a chance of winning some railway-related goodies!
This competition will run from 22nd May 2026 at 19:00 until 22nd July 2026 at 19:00.
The prizes are as follows, and each entry ticket is eligible for only one of the prizes below, however the more tickets the higher your chances are of winning other prizes.
If we meet our crowdfunding target of £200, the prizes on offer will be:
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary mousepad
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary cap
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary t-shirt (please notify us of your size)
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary mug
- 1x 5 " x 2 " engraved plaque with the words of your choosing, which will be placed on the inside of the platform fence, visible to passers by.
If we raise £300 or more, the following additional prizes will be available to win:
- A 180th Anniversary bundle (one winner only) consisting of: mousepad, cap, t-shirt, mug (all pictured above).
If we raise £450 or more, the following additional prizes will be available to win:
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary mousepad
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary cap
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary t-shirt (please notify us of your size)
- 1x Middleton Towers 180th Anniversary mug
- 1x £20 gift voucher for the Mid Norfolk Railway (not exchangeable for cash).
How to Enter
The rules are simple: £5 per entry, unlimited number of entries.
Entrants must be 18 or over and a UK resident.
The winner will be announced within a week of the competition's closure, and will be chosen at random using an online wheel spin.
Important: You must include a free entry route – explain clearly how people can enter without making a donation.
Include any eligibility requirements – for example, if entrants must be 18+, UK residents only, or if there are any other restrictions.
Let people know when and how the winner(s) will be announced, and finish with a thank you and a clear call to action – something like "Enter now and help us make this happen!"
