At NE Cycling CIC, we’re passionate about making cycling accessible, inclusive, and fun for everyone in the North East. Now, as we take on the management of Middlesbrough Velodrome, we have an incredible opportunity to transform it into a thriving hub for track cycling. Our team, Paul Daly (Leader of Education), Adam Brooks (Leader of Coaching), and David Judge (Safeguarding Lead), brings together expertise in education, coaching, and safeguarding to create a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Our vision is to enhance and revitalise Middlesbrough Velodrome, ensuring it remains a high-quality facility for riders of all ages and abilities. We believe that track cycling should be accessible to everyone, helping to break down barriers, reduce inequality, and create opportunities for people from all backgrounds to experience the joy of riding on a velodrome.
The money raised will be invested directly into the velodrome and its surrounding community. We aim to repaint the track lines to keep it in excellent condition, improve infrastructure with greater bike storage and better spectator facilities, and expand opportunities for people to learn to ride. Most importantly, we want to make track cycling accessible to all by offering free or subsidised sessions, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to participation.
With your support, we can create a velodrome that is not only a home for local riders but also a vibrant community space that inspires the next generation of cyclists. Together, we can build a lasting legacy for cycling in the North East.
