We are a small, rural, community based squash and social club, serving the local area for squash, racketball, gym classes and social events. We have a growing junior training programme, but serve all ages and abilities. We are run by a group of volunteers who feel the club is like a second home

A quick video tour of the club
The squash club has been part of the community and village life since the 1970's, serving the residents of Metheringham and the surrounding villages. It is available for everyone to use as a sporting facility, but it also provides a friendly and welcoming social environment for events, functions or just an evening out.
We host other local groups who can use our facilities, such as the Co-op employees, a local fitness company and 2 local darts teams.
The club is also involved in local fundraising for the area, including a now annual beer fest, which last year provided funds for the local Scout group, the village swimming pool and a local nursery.
Owing to the restrictions over the last two years, opportunities to raise funds towards the club have been severely impacted. We are facing really difficult times as the number of people using the club has been affected through Covid and we are facing spiraling energy costs which threaten our future.
We now have a plan in place to raise funds and become more sustainable so that we can spend less of our resources on energy we use and more on making our facilities as good as they can be and trying to ensure that the club will last for another 50 years.
There are more and more of these facilities closing all of the time and we need to ensure ours is not lost to the community. Many of the people now involved in running the club started here as juniors many years ago and we can't imagine not having it for future generations.
Our campaign has been featured by The Lincolnite. Read all about it here ..
The money raised will pay for new solar panels on the rear roof. These will link into the existing system providing hot water and heating for the club. This will save us a huge amount in running costs in the years to come.
If we raise more than required, the ladies changing room needs some much needed improvements, having last been refurbished approximately 20 years ago. It needs new showers, benches and a complete decoration and re-tile.
