Aim

We are raising funds to support the organising efforts of Merseyside Stand Up to Racism.

[Note: you can choose the 'don't display my name' option if you wish to donate]

Stand Up to Racism works tirelessly to stop the far right. We have organised countless mobilisations and counter-protests to turn the tide against Reform UK and Tommy Robinson's street movement.

But this brings costs for printing, room hire, transport etc.

All of the transport organised by Merseyside Stand Up to Racism is run at a loss, with heavy subsidies to make coach seats affordable for everyone.

This means that we must look to supporters to help with the financial demands of our organising efforts.

Please give whatever you can afford. Even small donations matter and it all adds up so that we can cover our costs.

Here is more detail about our work.

What does Merseyside Stand Up to Racism do?

Stand Up to Racism has been central to turning the tide against the wave of racism that swept the UK during the summer of 2024. Since then there have been hundreds of counter-protests against the far-right in towns and cities around the country.

Stand Up to Racism was also central to the success of the inspiring half-a-million strong Together Alliance march in London on 28 March.

Our approach, based upon the model of the Anti-Nazi League of the 1970s, the defeat of the BNP in the 1980s and 1990s and of the EDL in the 2000s, is one of a maximum united front of representative organisations – trade unions, community organisations, faith groups, etc – for the mobilisation of large numbers. And we seek to isolate the fascists politically and culturally, working with Women Against the Far Right and Love Music Hate Racism. We also work closely with the TUC, and are formally affiliated to most national trade unions.

This work now is more important than ever. We have a Parliamentary far-right for the first time in British political history. Reform say if they were allowed to form a government they would emulate Trump in the US with his ICE squads terrorising multi-ethnic neighbourhoods. And Tommy Robinson is building his street movement.

On Merseyside Stand Up to Racism has been central to numerous counter-protests over the last three years. We intend to continue our work and build our presence in the region.

We will not stop until the far-right are pushed back into the gutter they belong in.

How are Merseyside Stand Up to Racism's funds used?

We are determined to prevent fascism gaining a foothold in British politics.

But this brings costs, for printing, for transport, for event organising, etc.

We are asking for donations to help with these costs from supporters. And every donation matters, no matter how small.

Please donate if you can, and please also share this link and encourage others who are able to do so to donate.

We are fighting for a tolerant, multi-cultural and peaceful society, based on Love, Hope and Unity!
