Aim
We found a central location for our community taproom: 'The Tasting Room' and need your help to build it!
The story:
You know that we always say that our brewery is in the a***e end of nowhere. That’s true, and we are really grateful to have the space to make our amazing beers, but our little brewery location is not a great place to host events and connect with our community.
We have been searching for the perfect venue for our taproom, and I am really happy to say that the wait is finally over… We’ve found it, right in our backyard (not literally).
Merakai Brewing CO. presents: The Tasting Room
Your own little space in the centre of Worthing town centre.
Our community hub will be filled with delicious beer, good vibes, good times, and you!
The Location
This easily accessible location is situated at the end of a cobbled street, tucked away, off of Warwick Street. Just 10 mins walk from Worthing main station, and 3 minutes from the seafront. The perfect spot for work drinks, an evening out, or even a weekend day trip!

Capacity is 35 people seated with limited standing inside and outside we will have room for 12 people. It’s an intimate venue, and will have a cosy ambience.

What you can expect from The Tasting Room:
Events, tastings, our beer (of course), exclusive first pours, and launches. We’ll also have a fridge stocked with some of our friends, and some of our favourite beers from around the world - which you can take away too!
They'll also be food, a little tuck shop at the bar (who doesn’t like chocolate, sweets, as well as fancy snacks and crisps with beer?), and we’ll partner with some of our favourite local eateries to offer a limited menu of delicious eat-in options for you.
A place where everyone is welcome, family friendly (limited times and dates for children - to comply with our licence) and dogs can come too!

We’ve invested what we can, but we need your help to give us the final push to open.
You, our community, have been asking how you can help with the growth of Merakai Brewing CO. and support us other than just buying our beer, well here’s your chance.
We have rewards with different options and don’t worry if you can’t get to The Tasting Room right away as we’re offering pledges that are flexible for you, so you can enjoy your benefits wherever you are in the country as well as on site at The Tasting Room.

Some VERY important notes....PLEASE READ
- Some pledges have drop down options to choose from (i.e. size, and whether you want to split your beer credit) for some reason you can only choose one option, so when tshirt, hoodie and beer credits are available, it will only allow you to select either size or split. Therefore, please choose either size or beer credit split, please leave your email address and add [email protected] in your safe sender so we don't go into your spam box. Really sorry for the faff on this!
- The name you enter is what will be printed on the beer credit - please add into comments section or email us - [email protected]
- If it is a gift you need to enter the name of the person you are gifting to, not you - please add in comments section or email us - [email protected]
- Ensure the home address where the rewards are going to is correct - use a different address if you want to send as a gift to someone
- Please double check the e-mail address you enter as this will be the main form of communication regarding updates for your pledge
- If there is any space to add a phone number, please do that so we have a second way to contact you if necessary
- If you choose a TShirt or Hoodie as part of your package, please include your size in the comments/or any free text box
- TShirts and Hoodies may come after Christmas - we need time to get everyone's sizes and then send info to printer, normally 4-5 week's turnaround. They'll aim to be with you w/c 9th January 2023
- Unfortunately we are not able to ship any cards or online shop orders outside of the UK (WE CAN deliver to The Channel Islands) so please bear this in mind if you wish to pledge
- Beer Credit is valid for 18 months
- When choosing the Beer Credit pledge option you need to let us know whether you would like either of these options: but please note, some pledges have sizes in drop down menu, and you can only choose one (see earlier point)
- 100% all credit to spend online
- 100% all credit to spend in The Tasting Room
- 50%/50% split credit between online and in The Tasting Room
Fulfilment
We will aim to send out your rewards as soon as we receive the funds. To manage your expectations we have added 5th January 2023 as the fulfilment date. We'd like to open this side of the year, pledges are most likely to be sent within a timely manner to coincide with the opening of The Tasting Room - but it may be early 2023 - we'll send as soon as possible in any case. The only delay will be the hoodies and the tshirts as they require 4-5 weeks printing and are closed over Christmas. So you may receive these w/c 9th January 2023.
Any local people to Worthing and surrounding areas that would like to pick their rewards up in person, we could arrange that. Just make sure you have provided your phone number and email so we can communicate updates with you.
