Mentoring for Vulnerable Young People

Aim

We want to expand our current mentoring offer to reach more children aged 11-21 at risk of homelessness and/or living below the poverty line

Evolve Intervention C.I.C. was set up to meet the increasing demand for help and support for  children, young people and families in Essex and surrounding areas. Growing up, I experienced homelessness, abuse and violence as a child/ teenager; it was these experiences that led me to want to help others receive the care and support  the so desperately need. After many years of working in education, I could see the numbers of children waiting for help was growing exponentially, and this led to the inception of Evolve six years ago. 

We see more and more children struggling,  particularly as the result of the cost of living crisis impacts growing numbers of families. We want to ensure that these children receive guidance, care and support to cope with their circumstances so they can live happy and fulfilled lives. Too often, children get ‘lost’ in a completely overwhelmed system when they don’t meet stringent criteria for services such as social care or mental health support; our motto at Evolve is ‘no child left behind’ and we need your help to ensure that we reach as many children in our county as possible to prevent their issues escalating. Your money will allow us to provide many more children and young people with mentoring sessions over this next academic year and beyond.
