The Cause
Not everyone gets a chance to discover their potential.
We help young people facing barriers gain confidence, qualifications and their first steps into outdoor careers.
For many people working in the outdoor industry, adventure started young. Family camping trips, youth groups or weekends spent outside built confidence and skills. But these opportunities aren't available to everyone. Too many young people face barriers like cost, transport, lack of role models and simply not feeling that the outdoors is a place where they belong.
The Mendip Foundation is playing a part in changing that. We're focusing helping young people develop outdoor skills, gain nationally recognised qualifications and build careers in the outdoor industry. By creating clear pathways into employment, we can help talented young people realise their potential while bringing greater diversity and new role models into the outdoors.
Your support will fund scholarships, training, equipment, travel and mentoring for young people who wouldn't otherwise have these opportunities. Every donation helps remove help young people not just to experience adventure, but to lead it.

The prize draw opens on 13 July 2026 and closes at 11:59pm (UK time) on 6 September 2026. The winners will be selected at random on 7 September 2026 and contacted by email or telephone within 48 hours. If a winner doesn't respond within 14 days, another winner will be drawn. The draw is open to UK and EU residents aged 18 or over. A free entry option is available (please see T&Cs)
