To install a respectful symbol in the memory garden that visually embodies the club and is a focal point for collective reflection.
The memory garden at Brunton Park has been a huge success, with the space being used to host community-based events and an area for quiet reflection by fans. It has seen lots of use and memorial plaques installed so families and friends can remember loved ones.
Having doubled the size with the second level opening, we wish to install a respectful symbol in the centre of the garden that visually embodies the club and becomes a focal point for collective reflection, including and especially, for remembering former players.
Working in partnership with the University of Cumbria, we commissioned them to design and create a centre-piece scuplture.
Carlisle United Supporters Groups are looking to raise funding for this project and should any additional funds be raised, it will be used for other supporter led initiatives.
