Aim
To fund our seven amazing Memory Cafes, providing services across Wiltshire for people affected by dementia and their loved ones.
Who are we?
Alzheimer’s Support is a local charity which exists to improve quality of life for families affected by dementia in Wiltshire.
Truly person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. Our services include inspirational day clubs, a carefully customised support at home service and a growing range of activity groups - all designed to help people lead lives that are creative, active, productive and meaningful.
Community impact
We support over 2,700 people across Wiltshire who are affected by dementia. As dementia touches more families, services such as ours are becoming ever-more vital in local communities.
Almost everybody knows someone affected by dementia in some way. Knowing that these services are here to support people, in their own community, on their journey with dementia, is extremely important.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Our seven memory cafes, located throughout Wiltshire, provide a vital service in local communities. They are warm, safe and welcoming environments where people can strike up friendships, chat informally to professionals, find out more about dementia and support from a wide range of speakers, and enjoy refreshments and entertainment with their friends and family.
In this climate, these cafes are now more important than ever. We need funds to make sure that they continue to support people in these cold months and beyond.
How we’ll spend the money raised
All money raised will go directly towards funding our seven Memory Cafes across Wiltshire. Your kind donations will fund facilitators, speakers, entertainment, warm, safe and accessible venues and of course very important tea and biscuits!
