Melanie Eclare's fight against Leukaemia

Aim
Original photographic prints by renowned staff and students at Plymouth University in support of Melanie Eclare's recovery from leukaemia.
On Thursday 14th July 2016, our dear friend Melanie Eclare was diagnosed with aggressive, acute leukaemia and given weeks to live. Unfortunately the chemotherapy treatment offered by the hospital is not a viable option in Melanie's condition. Despite this she is deciding to fight the disease with positivity and alternative healing methods which themselves come at a great financial expense.
Melanie is the much loved wife of Tom, mother to Rose and an inspiration to her circle of family and friends. After taking an extended break from her career as a garden photographer to raise her daughter Rose, Melanie returned to photography by joining the MA Photography course at the University of Plymouth.
Melanie has been using her talent to explore issues that are close to her heart, specifically Nature Deficit Disorder and investigating what it means to be a part of the Anthropocene generation. Embarking on the MA was the marker of a new phase in Melanie's life so to have this diagnosis come at this point is a devastating blow.
This is an incredible, life-affirming opportunity to buy an original photographic print from the professors, lecturers and MA and MFA Photography students at Plymouth University including Professor David Chandler, Head of MA photography Liz Nicol, Head of Photography Simon Standing, and Head of BA Photography Oliver Udy.
