We are raising money to support the outreach and access costs for the debut production of MEAT, a new play by Gillian Greer.
WHO ARE WE?
Hi, we are are Lucy, Emily and Gill - the creative team for MEAT at Theatre503 and we are raising money to support the outreach and access costs for the run. It's important to us that the production is accessible to everyone, and that we can engage audiences in as much discussion about the themes of the play as possible - here's why....

ABOUT MEAT
MEAT was finalist for the 2018 Theatre503 international playwriting award and is now having its debut production at Theare503 from 19th February.
The play explores consent within a relationship, and because of that it’s really important to us that we do as much as possible to make the play as accessible and safe as possible. We are also partnering with Solace Women’s Aid to run consent workshops through the run. This is where you come in!
We’re really grateful to the Arts Council who are supporting us through this project, however we are fundraising an additional £1,500 to contribute more towards our access and outreach costs.
This money will allow us to hold a dress rehearsal in a wheelchair accessible venue, work with a BSL interpreter for a performance, hire an intimacy director to work with the actors to ensure everyone feels safe through rehearsal, hold Theatre503’s first ever touch tour before our captioned and relaxed performance, as well as running 2 public consent workshops and a panel discussion with Solace Women’s aid.
It’s really important to us that we are able to do as much as we can to open up the production and wider discussion to everyone.
And in this festive season, we would be eternally grateful for your generosity. £5, £10, £100! Anything you are able to give would make a huge difference.
THE NITTY-GRITTY OF COSTS
To give you a clear idea of where your money will go, here's the breakdown of what stuff will cost:
£500 - 2 x impact sessions with Solace Women's Aid and a panel discussion
£350 - Intimacy director fee (1 x full day, 2 x half days)
£300 - BSL Interpreter for 1 day
£350 - Hire of wheelchair accessible venue for 1 day

If you personally aren’t able to donate, we would love it if you could share this campaign far and wide.
Thank you for any support you can give us, and we really hope that you can come and see us at Theatre503 from February!
