In March and April 2022, Luca Silvestrini's Protein is leading a dance theatre project in London with migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
Protein is raising funds to feed the participants a nutritious breakfast and hot lunch for 18 days. It is crucial the participants have good quality food to sustain their energy during the dance project.
We believe eating together as a social exercise is vital to the participants' engagement in their new community.
Protein will recruit for the project via several taster workshops in London. The participants will include asylum seekers new to the UK, refugees living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and service users at the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants.
Those who choose to join the project will be invited to a full-time dance project resulting in a live performance to an invited audience.
Protein is supporting the participants with their travel costs to and from the dance project.
We are hoping to raise £3960.
£11 per person per day (estimated group of 20).
Thank you. All donations big and small can really make a difference.

More about the project:
Protein's work seeks to engage and empower using a performance-led collaborative approach inspired by the participant’s lives and experiences.
Through ensemble work, storytelling and creative exercises, participants develop team-working skills and greater confidence, enabling them to better engage in the UK and their new communities. Storytelling and workshops led in English enhance their linguistic skills, whilst learning stagecraft develops people’s ability to express themselves in a variety of ways.
