Aim
To improve the community's recreational facilities by providing a new pump track, seesaw and replacement swing set at The Meadows play area.
We need your help to enhance our community’s recreational facilities by creating an exciting new pump track and replacing damaged play equipment at The Meadows. Your involvement and support are crucial in making these improvements a reality for local families and children.
The Meadows play area has long been a favourite spot for children and families in our village. However, due to wear and tear, some of the equipment has become unsafe. Recently, both a swing set and the overhead roundabout had to be removed, as the cost of repairs was simply too high to justify. This has left a noticeable gap in the play area, and we are keen to restore and improve these much-loved facilities for everyone to enjoy once again.
In response to feedback from our residents, we are excited to announce plans for a pump track in the village. After consulting with the community and considering different options, we have agreed on a design that is accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities – from young children learning to ride their bikes to older kids and even adults who enjoy a bit of outdoor fun. Alongside the pump track, we are committed to replacing the broken swing set and adding a brand-new seesaw to further enhance the play area. These additions will help ensure that The Meadows remains a vibrant and inclusive space for everyone in the community.
We are delighted to share that planning permission for the pump track has already been granted, and we have started the process of securing funding. However, to bring these plans to fruition, we still require additional support from our community. Every contribution, whether large or small, will make a difference and help us create a fantastic space where local children and families can play, socialise, and stay active for years to come.
