We support home educated children and their families within Greater Manchester to create opportunities for home ed kids of all ages.
We are a group of home educators keen to foster and strengthen relationships across our community in order to harness and develop the good work that already happens by hard working individuals. We want to make the most of their efforts and secure opportunities for the most number of home educating children and their families.

Our group benefits children and their families from across the Greater Manchester area. We support those who are currently home educating and those who are thinking of home educating and need to find out more before they make the decision.
We are a very welcoming and diverse group. Our group is racially diverse with members from different educational backgrounds and lived experience, LGBTQ+, with children and adults of different neurotypes and mental and physical health experiences. We don’t just ‘not discriminate on the basis of’ these differences, we are a positive, affirmative living embodiment of them. Everybody's welcome!
Right now we are funding to provide a warm space for families to meet during winter to ensure that no-one becomes isolated during this period. We enjoy meeting outdoors during the summer months but our community is not seasonal, it is year round, and so we want to support our community members every month of the year, especially when affordable meet-ups are thin on the ground.

We'll use the money raised to rent Birch Community Centre in Rusholme, Manchester, including provision of a calm space for those that need a place to take time out from the main activities in the hall. The money will support the Centre (which is itself a charity) and volunteers will provide tea, coffee, activities and games, so that the meet-up will be free and accessible to all that need it.
