About Us
We deeply value the human connections in life—whether it’s bonding with our good friends, enjoying the beauty of nature, or finding a sense of community with those who understand what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself. Over the spring months we are looking forward to getting outdoors, either together or on our own, discovering new places, and pushing our limits through dedicated training. It’s a chance to grow, connect with nature, and build the kind of endurance that makes a difference—not just for us but for the people we care about.
Why are we fundraising?
Cancer has touched our lives in profound ways, affecting us and our loved ones. We’ve faced the heartache, the uncertainty, and the emotional toll that comes with battling this disease. But, we've also experienced the priceless support of organisations like Macmillan Cancer Support, who helped us navigate through some of the darkest times. Their dedication gave us strength when we needed it most, and now it’s our turn to pay it forward.
Why are we doing this?
Through committed training and the endurance it builds, we are not only preparing for the challenge ahead, but also honouring the strength of those who are fighting cancer and supporting loved ones who are supporting them. The journey isn’t easy—whether in training or on the day itself—but we know it’s nothing compared to the challenges many face in their battle with cancer. The fight is real, and with your support, we can help provide the same invaluable help that Macmillan Cancer Support gave to us.
This fundraiser is about more than just raising money; it’s about connecting, about showing up for those who need it, and about making sure that no one fights alone. Join The McGrinllisons in supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, and together, we can make a meaningful difference for those facing cancer today.
Endurance. Commitment. Connection.
Let's do this, for those who need us most.
Training is already underway and we will keep this page updated with our endeavors.
Weekend: 22/23 March: Sun was shining on Leigh as she covered 14km on Friday. Fiona & Ken got a stiff breeze in the lug over the Forth Road Bridge.
Sunday 30 March: Half Marathon pounded up the Union Canal from Redding to Linlithgow and back. Refreshments well received on completion.
