The McGrinllison Team have pledged to raise £1500 for MacMillan Cancer Care. We're walking the Lake District Mighty hike on 14 June 2025.
The McGrinllisons have pledged to raise £250 per person (£1500 as a team) and we are very thankful to all who sponsor us.
The mighty hike will take us on a marathon distance hike along the Ullswater Way in the heart of the Lake District and skirting the summit Gowbarrow Fell.
We deeply value the human connections in life—whether it’s bonding with our good friends, enjoying the beauty of nature, or finding a sense of community with those who understand what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself. Over the spring months we are looking forward to getting outdoors, either together or on our own, discovering new places, and pushing our limits through dedicated training. It’s a chance to grow, connect with nature, and build the kind of endurance that makes a difference—not just for us but for the people we care about.
Through committed training and the endurance it builds, we are not only preparing for the challenge ahead, but also honouring the strength of those who are fighting cancer and supporting loved ones who are supporting them. The journey isn’t easy—whether in training or on the day itself—but we know it’s nothing compared to the challenges many face in their battle with cancer. The fight is real, and with your support, we can help provide the same invaluable help that Macmillan Cancer Support gave to us.
This fundraiser is about more than just raising money; it’s about connecting, about showing up for those who need it, and about making sure that no one fights alone. Join The McGrinllisons in supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, and together, we can make a meaningful difference for those facing cancer today.
Training is already underway and we will drop pictures below of our endeavours and you can see the link to the Strava account:
