The Trans+ Solidarity Alliance unites campaigners and activists with cis allies to drive positive change for trans+ people in the UK. From hosting trans led briefings in parliament on the topics we need policy makers to understand, to projects which allow trans+ people to feel the support of their allies such as Trans Secret Santa UK.
The Trans+ Solidarity Alliance has designed a set of "Maybe I'm Trans?" badges as an opportunity to fundraise for the essential work we are doing. In light of the Supreme Court ruling and EHRC consultation on the Equality Act we want to ensure we're able to continue all the work we do across the UK. We also want to use these badges to empower all who want to challenge the policing of bodies and presentation within essential services such as public restrooms.
Wearing these badges is an opportunity to highlight to those around you, especially those who wish to enforce rigid gender norms, that anyone could be transgender and that it's not something that anyone should wear as a badge of shame.
In other words, this is a chance to channel Lady Gaga's energy and ask, "would it be so terrible?" if you were transgender.
The pledge rewards include the set of four 38mm badges in "beautiful blue", "perfect pink", "yelling out yellow" and "brilliant black".
All donations go directly to the Trans+ Solidarity Alliance, with all profit made after production and shipping costs fund the work we do.
We will endeavour to send out badges on a weekly basis.
