The Flamingo Chicks May 100 fundraiser is all about raising vital funds by encouraging everyone to get out and active.
My name is Annabelle Turner.
I lost my leg in a road traffic accident 10 years ago and whilst studying my post-grad degree I volunteered with the Flamingo Chicks. The amazing work that the Charity does truly captured my heart and I have now signed up as a Trustee of the charity.
Flamingo Chicks is a multi award-winning charity and inclusive community giving disabled and ill children the opportunity to dance and explore movement. It’s all about breaking down barriers. Our inclusive programmes change lives, champion the voices of disabled children and work towards tackling increasing social isolation and inactivity in disabled children.
The Flamingo Chicks May 100 fundraiser is all about raising vital funds by encouraging everyone to get out and active to support their own physical and mental health.
On the 21st May I will be leading a litter pick around my village to get active and promote a greener environment, followed by a BBQ, cake sale and raffle.
I will also be joining the Charity on the 4th May where we will be pedalo-ing to space (space begins at 100km) in a fleet of Flamingo boats for our May 100 challenge!
Any and all donations will be gratefully received to help to improve the quality of life of the inspirational children that we represent.
