Maxine for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough – help back an Independent Socialist candidate for the general election
We are proud to announce that Maxine Bowler is standing as an Independent Socialist candidate in the July 4 general election. Maxine is a long-standing and well-known socialist, anti-racist and trade union campaigner in Sheffield.
Maxine is standing in the election because both main parties support the Israeli genocide in Gaza and we need an MP who stands with the Palestinians and fights for the people of Sheffield. Her campaign is being backed by key Palestinian campaigners in Sheffield, leaders of diverse city communities and trade union activists.
This is what she stands for:
If you think Maxine’s campaign deserves your support, please donate to help fund her fight. Unlike the mainstream parties, she doesn't have (or want) any rich supporters.
Follow the campaign on social media: @Maxine4Sheff on X/Twitter, maxinebowler4sheff on Instagram, Maxine for Brightside and Hillsborough on Facebook.
Election donation rules: Any sum of £50 or over, or smaller sums from the same source that add up to £50 or more, must be declared to the Electoral Commission by Maxine’s campaign and the source verified. In that case, we will need to verify and record the donor’s name and address and the date that the donation was made.
