As you know, I'm standing for election to Warwickshire County Council. A few years ago, this would have seemed very ambitious indeed. But things have changed. Both the Conservatives and now Labour have squandered public support by failing to deliver any of the change that our country desperately needs.
We have a real chance to win in Leamington Clarendon. The seat was held by the Liberal Democrats until 2021, when we were pushed into second place by Labour. But since then, Lib Dems have been winning up and down the country, taking control of Stratford-upon-Avon District Council and winning a record number of MPs at the general election.

Meanwhile, our Labour County Councillor has been near invisible in the community, missing huge numbers of council meetings and not communicating with local residents. This isn't good enough!
It is expensive to fight elections. The risk of the delay of these elections has pushed back our plans and now we face a sprint to the finish. We need £500 to run a full election campaign that places us in the best possible position to win. We will be sending out regular leaflets and letters to voters over the next weeks to reinforce our messages – we need the help of our members and other supporters to help us fund this ambitious plan.
I am standing for the Liberal Democrats because I want to make a difference in our community. The people of Leamington deserve strong representation at Shire Hall, who understands their concerns and proactively seeks to address them.
We need a councillor who genuinely cares for and stands up for the area; who fights for our local health service; who protects our environment; who supports our local businesses; and who ensures we have the infrastructure we need for our growing communities.

There is a clear path to winning. But to get over the line, we still need to communicate a lot with voters, explain that the choice is between us and Labour, and campaign on the issues that matter to people - including and especially health care, the state of our roads and the provision of services for young people.
Now we need to close the gap in our funds, and make sure we can resource the intensity of the next few weeks.
Please, if you feel moved, consider chipping in and helping.
I was born and grew up in the Midlands and now live in Leamington. I love living in our town, with its huge diversity of people and exciting blend of heritage and forward-thinking businesses. It would be an honour to represent this community.
Professionally, I work as a Consultant, focusing on operational improvement in the NHS. I work day-in and day-out alongside nurses and doctors to tackle the overwhelming pressure that they face. I've delivered impact through my work, and now want to do the same at Shire Hall.
Thank you so much, in anticipation, for anything you can contribute.
