Aim
In lieu of gifts and flowers, we are raising funds to create a lasting tribute to honour the unique mark Max made on this world.
We are heartbroken to share that our beautiful, happy, funny, clever and kind little boy, Max, passed away unexpectedly on 15/12/25.
Max was a truly special boy with a huge character, loved by everyone who was lucky enough to meet him. The widest, cheekiest, endless smile and warm presence made everyone, any age, feel special. Family, friends and football were life for Max…and he was a great little player for North East Leeds Pumas and a devoted Liverpool fan, Max’s football knowledge for one so young was something else…
We are truly grateful for the kindness and generosity shown by our friends, family, and everyone who knew and loved Max. As we begin to process this unimaginable loss, we would be grateful for any contributions towards creating a lasting tribute in Max’s memory in lieu of gifts for the family to ensure his light never stops shining.
We are considering many things but are hopeful we can have a Max Kuc bench in Roundhay Park, a place where many can visit and remember him in a place he loved. While we are still deciding on the exact form this tribute will take, we would of course keep contributors updated.
Any additional funds not required for a memorial will be donated to the wonderful Candlelighters who supported us all during Max’s cancer treatment and continue to support us in our grief and our beloved North East Leeds FC to keep grass roots football at the heart of our Roundhay community.
Update 14th March 2026
Just by way of update, there are four benches being installed in Roundhay Park within the next few weeks - exact locations to follow. Further tributes are pending and a legacy project coming in the near future.
