Dearest family,
It is nearly time for me to birth my debut album into this field. Gestating for many, many moons, this transmission is nearly ready to make her way Earthside.
The album 'MÂTÎRJA' meaning Motherline in the ancient language of Proto-celtic (with thanks to my teacher Carolyn Hillyer for her extensive work in the excavating of this bone language) is a collection of song stories, mythical retellings, sound healing transmissions and sacred mantras in alignment with the voice of the rising feminine upon Earth.
She has sung to me through Her songlines. On a journey of remembrance. Of reclamation. A return to the Earth that we walk upon and the songs, myths and stories that animate the lands. These lands that we are born from - as children of this One Earth and the One tradition of humankind.
This collection of songs is a weaving of red threads. An honouring of the awakening feminine force as she rises from within the deep, Dragon heart of Gaia to usher us back to belonging. To one another and to the land itself. A prayer for the Mothers to lead. A calling to the forgotten Herstory that is calling from within the ancestral places within us.
Home we go. Home to the heart of all things.
In order to bring through and honour this transmission I am asking my dearest musical family to support this project into arrival. I am attempting to complete this project without a booking agent, manager, PR, label and promotional team. I am a one woman show, armed with a few good friends with fiddles and a whole lot of ambition. But to bring you this music, I need your support.
I pay everyone I work with and passionately stand by this ethic. Videographers, artists, musicians, independent promoters, venues, photographers, mastering, artwork etc. So these projects cost a fair bit. I have done what I can to keep costs low but need some help with the final push.
So If you have the capacity to pre-order your copy of the album, or any of the accompanying perks (concert tickets, merch etc) I am so grateful in advance for your support and love!
Yours always,
Molly-Anne
