If we were to raise extra money we would buy equipment and materials to keep volunteers safe when they are volunteering and help them do the next community activity! We are thinking about a community sewing machine.

The COVID-19 Community Response Group in Emersons & Lyde have been supporting the community in many different ways through this crisis. The volunteers lead the activities, and the LGCA have offered some support to the group. You can see more about the group on their Facebook group.
The activities include practical and emotional support to individuals who are shielding or not wishing to go out. The volunteers have also coordinated a litter pick and two Food bank collections.
A couple of the volunteers are fantastic with a sewing machine and they are now making masks to give to people in the local community. The masks follow a strict design and have a Henry Hoover bag inside to collect particles.
We have been asked by some whether they can give the group a donation for a mask and this crowdfunder allows people to do that.
The LGCA pledge that all money raised through this crowdfunder will go towards supporting the activities of the volunteer group.
It is great that Crowdfunder is making it 100% free for community and charity crowdfunding projects during the coronavirus crisis.
