Masks for NHS Heroes
28th March 2020Special mention to Actor James McAvoy for his extraordinary generosity :) !!!
Dear James McAvoy, from the bottom of our hearts, on behalf of us here @ Masks for NHS Heroes, all NHS staff, our supporters and believers in our National Health Service, we thank you for your extraordinary generosity!
We would not have reached our target this swiftly if it was not for your immense kindness in supporting our cause which is for the NHS workers daily on the frontline.
We are more determined than ever to donate PPE to the frontline where it is needed most to keep our NHS staff safe.
Update and why this is so so important to me as an individual My Uncle passed away 29/3 . Aunty sick ( Retired nurse ). Uncles care worker sick now because of it ( whos is also my little sister's best pall Who has small children ) My Sister is a biomedical scientist in the hospital too with a 3 year old. My Mrs works with in adequate protection in a covid ward . Covid rooms in her ward just waiting to be filled up. Cousin works as senior staff nurse in a ward along with his wife and his sister. Cousin who's dad passed away on 29/3 works as a nurse in high dependency. Along with another couple of cousins that are nurses too. My Mrs sister and Neice's are nurses too. And this is just the very beginning of this crisis . This in the same area and the same hospital. Anything you could do by donations or just simple sharing this campaign would be a great help and I would be eternally grateful. Ive spent the last 2 days constantly sharing this on whatsapp or more especially Twitter contacting celebrities and ordinary people asking them to share this link only 2 celebrities out of literally hundreds upon hundreds of people asking to retweet and they haven't. I think that is uterlly shameful. But I will not be deterred I will now be sending not one request but literally dozens of requests until they retweet and share . Less than1% of people have shared up till now. Just to put it in perspective the death rate from this horrible virus is at a far higher percentage. Thanks for taking the time to read if you did. This is just my story there are far more people in worse situations. Yours sincerely Kenneth Green. P.s if you want to share this testimony you have my permission
31st March 2020Thank you so much James and @ Masks for heroes from myself and my Partner Alison who is a brave nurse working nightshift in Inverclyde Royal without proper protection . Means so much. Shouldn't be surprised as you are a good Celtic man. Hail Hail. Maybe you could get @CelticFC involved although I'm sure they will be using their deep charitable roots to aid the cause anyway. God Bless "OUR" wonderful brave NHS staff . Heros and Legends every single one. Thank you for going above and beyond. Thank you and hopefully now you all can remain safe while you give our loved ones a chance. It will never ever be forgotten. My heartfelt thanks goes out to every single one of you.
