I’m crocheting a giant Martyn Bear to raise funds for Wildwood Trust’s rescued bears. Big yarn, big challenge, big love!
🧸 The Giant Martyn Bear Challenge
I’m crocheting a giant Martyn Bear — an oversized version of my namesake design by Kerry Lord of Toft.
This fun project during September is to raise funds for the Wildwood Trust, who rescue and care for real bears at their sanctuary in Kent.
Martyn The Tibetan Blue Bear is a distant cousin of the brown bears they have at the sanctuary, and to be able to celebrate one year of Martyn Bear AND raise funds for the real life bears is the motivation behind the project.
Your donation will go directly to Wildwood’s work, helping cover:
This project is equal parts ridiculous and wonderful: a giant bear made of yarn, helping to protect the real life giant bears here in the UK.
The yarn for the project is kindly provided by Stylecraft who are supporting me with their yarn.
The pattern is by Kerry Lord at TOFT generously shared with permission, and I’ll be sharing updates as the project grows.
Please donate if you can — together we’ll make something big for the bears.
