Marple Platinum Jubilee St Party

Aim
A group of us got together and decided to organise a huge community street party to celebrate the Queens platinum jubilee
Not every street will have an organised street party and we didn’t want anyone to not be able to join in with the festivities. Therefore we are planning the biggest st party marple has ever seen with buntings galore! The daytime will be a huge bring and share buffet, bring a chair and a plate, some food to share and pitch your seat so you can see the stage. Entertainment will start around 12pm and will finish around 5- something for everyone!
local choirs, brass bands, sing alongs and more.Patriotic face painting is encouraged and wIll also be available on the day!
at 6pm the vibe will shift as the tables are cleared away and street food vendors set up. The evening will see us dancing the night away with local bands- live music, DJ’s and food! All the bars will be open however we ask alcohol is not brought in and only purchased from the bars.
Let’s make this a party to remember! In order to make this happen, we need to raise some money so we can hire tables, the staging and lighting etc. any funds left at the end will be donated to local charities which we will ask for local opinion on. Let’s make sure no one is alone and encourage all- young and old to come and celebrate this once in a lifetime event!
