Aim
A comedy heist film about a group of downtrodden colleagues seeking their revenge on the ego-centric boss who’s vanity will be his downfall.
We are Daily Rush Productions, with breaking news; We are crowdfunding for our short film ‘Marmalade Droppers’.
‘Marmalade Droppers’ is a dramedy heist short film centered around young employees working for a newspaper company who start to uncover the secrets of their unpleasant, conniving boss.
Who are we?
Daily Rush Productions, formed in April 2021 through the National Youth Film Academy, is a collaborative group featuring talents not only from across the UK, but internationally. The project consists of nine hard-working crew members and eight talented actors, all very passionate about bringing you into the fold of helping to create the best short film we can bring to life. Our main goal is to create a movie that emanates fun in an otherwise trying and distressing period in our lives. It won’t only be a joy to film, but also a joy for our audience to watch.
Our Film
So, what exactly is ‘Marmalade Droppers’ about? When one of the Queen’s corgis goes missing, a journalist asks for permission to write an exposè about the piece. When she is turned down, she breaks into her boss’s house in protest...only to find several of his other employees doing the same. As each employee tells their story of how their boss has mistreated them, they start to uncover a terrible truth about the man they mutually hate and do their best to figure out exactly what he is up to. ‘Marmalade Droppers‘ is a thrilling, energetic and witty commentary about the downtrodden colleagues - and that’s just based on the script! We can only imagine what we can do to the piece when we take it to the big screen.
