Mark Spier’s Coast to Coast Walk

Aim

I aim to walk Wainwright’s Coast to Coast from Cumbria in the west to Yorkshire in the east. A journey of 190 miles.

My name is Mark Spier and I have been a member of Beccehamian RFC for nearly fifty years as a player, coach, committee member and more recently as a VP.

On Monday 21st August I am embarking on a walk to follow Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route from St. Bees in the west to Robin Hood Bay in the east. The walk is 190 miles and will take me across the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors. I hope to complete the journey in two weeks.

Beccehamian RFC (Beccs) is fundraising for The Beccs Big Build – our ambitious project to extend and enhance the clubhouse and make it a true club and community home.

The build will mean that we can massively improve our changing room facilities – including dedicated space for our growing women’s section – improve disabled access and enhance our social spaces. Including the much-loved members bar! Find out more about the Beccs Big Build here.
