Aim

The aim of this 'Prize Draw' is to raise enough funds to support one of our award ceremonies - the cost of these is around £7,000

The Prize

Named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the 50 greatest guitarists of all time, Mark Knopfler is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, record producer, and film score composer. He is best known as the lead singer, lead guitarist and songwriter of internationally celebrated rock band, Dire Straits.

Mark is a long-time supporter of Bravehearts, and has donated the original plaque presented to him, engraved with his name, for sales of Dire Straits’ 1988 compilation album, ‘Money For Nothing’; as well as a signed copy of the album on vinyl, recently remastered and repressed for the first time since 1988.

The album features fan favourites such as Sultans Of Swing, Romeo And Juliet, Walk Of Life, and a previously unreleased live outtake of Portobello Belle.

This unique Platinum disc, signed by Mark Knopfler, is the only one engraved to Mark Knopfler. We are fortunate that Bravehearts have received this disc to help support our fundraising activity whilst hopefully making one of Mark's fans very happy at the same time.

The Cause

This PRIZE DRAW will help support Bravehearts, a not-for-profit charity recognising the courage and bravery of children.

The charity also provides a channel for parents, nurses, friends and family of brave children. Enabling children from all over the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria between the ages of 5 and 16, to be recognised and rewarded with a Bravehearts crystal award and a gift of their choice.

Our ambition is that this PRIZE DRAW will secure enough to fund our next Award Ceremony.
