We aim to make (DNHC's) maritime artefacts accessible to a global audience, providing an immersive experience of maritime history.
DIGITISING MARITIME HISTORY!
Promare is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with The Devonport Naval Heritage Centre (DNHC) aimed at revolutionising access to the rich collection of maritime artefacts. Spearheaded by heritage professional Adela Hawley and digital outreach and engagement lead Charlotte Ashcroft-Booth, this innovative project will use 3D scanning technology to document and archive objects from the DNHC's extensive collection online.
This initiative aims to make the DNHC's treasured artefacts accessible to a global audience, providing an immersive experience of maritime history like never before.

Expanding Our Reach and Engaging New Audiences
Hawley’s expertise in heritage preservation, combined with Ashcroft-Booth’s dynamic approach to social media, will drive this initiative forward. Together, they will create captivating social media content and develop a dedicated website showcasing the scanned artefacts. This will not only expand DNHC's reach to a broader online audience but also attract more visitors and volunteers to the Centre.
