Marine Football Club is seeking to build a community stadium featuring a 3G pitch, community hub, health hub, and gymnasium in an area that is severely underprovided for.
The proposed stadium will have a capacity of 5,000 and will be designed with community benefit at its core.
This facility will not become a reality without the support of the local community, businesses, and various stakeholders. Any donations to help bring this vision to life are greatly appreciated by everyone at Marine Football Club and within the local community.
As a volunteer-run football club, we are aiming to raise funds through community support and fundraising initiatives. The total cost of building the community stadium is £8 million, with an initial target of £500k sought through this Crowdfunder campaign.
James Leary, CEO, said: “This is an ambitious project designed to safeguard the future of Marine Football Club. It will set the club up for the next 100+ years, creating a fit-for-purpose stadium to accommodate our growing fanbase and support our expansion plans.
Sefton is an area that is significantly lacking in community facilities, and this project will provide an incredible community resource, including a 3G pitch, education facilities, health hub, gym, and limited accommodation.”
Despite the significant progress made, the project still faces challenges, in particular with the substantial funding required to complete the build.
We would like to thank everyone who can contribute to helping make this project a reality.
