I’m running for Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner. I need your help to fund my campaign for real change, honest leadership & a safer Dorset
Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Elections - 2nd May 2024
On May 2nd 2024 the residents of Dorset and BCP Councils will vote for their Police and Crime Commissioner.
I am standing for election as an independent candidate, meaning I am not motivated by political views or guided by a political party. A vote for me is a vote for someone who truly represents the residents of our county. And I believe that our county is ready for change - ready for a new culture of honest dialogue and transparent actions, ready for a new kind of relationship with the police, built on trust.
The Dorset PCC’s main responsibility is to ensure that the police force delivers an efficient and effective service for the local community by holding them accountable and ensuring that the community's priorities are the police’s priorities.
I have previously served as the CEO of Dorset Mind and currently hold the position of Chair of Dorset Women CIC and across my career, I have been committed to supporting communities and advocating for social change.
Drawing from this experience and consultation, I have identified three priorities that aim to create a visible police service in Dorset that people can rely on, tackling prevention as well as crime - working on behalf of residents.
To undertake a successful campaign, and to carry my vision forward as Dorset's Police and Crime Commissioner, I need your help. I need funds to run the campaign - to cover costs like the website, printing leaflets and booking venues for talks and question-time sessions.
Can you help? Donations under £50 may remain anonymous if you wish. I can accept donations over £50 from people and who are eligible to vote in the UK or UK registered companies - because of your generosity I will need to record your details to show all my donations and expenditure transparently to the Electoral Commission.
I thank you in advance and hope you will follow me on my campaign journey on my social media platforms @Marianne4PCC , or read my newsletter or blogs on my website which you can find at mariannestorey.co.uk
