Marda Farm in Palestine needs your help to upgrade fences and create new income from bees and vines to help increase local food security.
A permaculture farm in Palestine needs your help
Marda Farm is a working farm producing for the local community, as well as a demonstration site, teaching and promoting sustainable and regenerative agriculture in Palestine. Since 2006 Marda Farm has been a reference point for indigenous ecological design systems, as well a symbol of agro-resistance in Palestine and internationally.
Support indigenous and regenerative farming
Nestled away in a small village in the Salfit region in the Occupied Territories, Marda Farm draws from more than 10 generations of indigenous agricultural wisdom and traditions. Our work on the farm also draws from regenerative farming methods such as agroecology, ecological design, sustainability and permaculture, as well as food sovereignty and land stewardship in the face of the Israeli occupation.
A pioneering project practical solutions
For almost 20 years now, Marda Farm has also trained individuals and communities, particularly Palestinian women, to maximize local resources such as food, water, energy and housing in the context of the settler-colonisation of Historic Palestine. The farm is also a place that offers practical solutions that contributes to international activist efforts for systemic change and environmental justice. In the face of the occupation, Marda has stood tall as a bastion and place of learning and inspiration for hundreds of people from around the world who have come to learn about traditional food production and resistance.
Support food sovereignty in Palestine
Today, Marda Farm needs your help. Pressures on the farm increased during the pandemic, our lead farmer recently suffered with health difficulties, global inflation, and the continued violence of Israel against Palestinians has pushed our farm to a critical situation. Our income has been hit hard by limits on international students to attend our trainings, as well as by the many pressures imposed by the occupation and the global crises. We want to ensure that Marda Farm remains an important vocal point for steadfast resistance and food sovereignty for Palestinians and international friends.
Help keep the lights on!
For this, we need to raise £4200 to keep the lights on, maintain the farm, repair our vine fence, and terrace area, and buy vital equipment such as a tilling machine to help our lead farmer with the hardest physical activities on the farm (there is an itemised budget at the end). Grassroots local movements and ethical communities around the world are agents of true change and justice, and we hope that you can extend your hand to us in these times of need.
Every donation will help (priced in Euros = £3612)

Thank you, please share this with your networks and help this important farm with your solidarity and practical support.
