Marco & Isla's 250 Mile March Cycle Challenge

Aim

Each cycle the equivalent of London to Paris as part of a team effort to help their swimming club restart as soon as pools reopen.

Hackney Aquatics Club is where Marco & Isla normally spend many hours every week training for the sport they love. The club enabled Marco to win gold and two silvers at the last English National Championships and see Isla ranked in the top 5 nationally for her age group. As well as excellent coaching the club brings them great friendships and a real sense of community that they sorely miss. In a nutshell, they are passionate about their club and keen to push themselves hard to support this fundraiser. 

Their squad has set themselves a challenge to attempt to cycle the distance from London to Tokyo (9,556km) between 28th February and 31st March. This basically means that Marco and Isla will each cycle the equivalent of London to Paris (where the 2024 Olympics will be!). They have kicked off with >50km in the first week and your sponsorship will motivate them to reach their goals (~380km) and get back to fitness.

This page is raising money for the main cause: Hackney Aquatics Club Covid 19 Appeal. Any amount would be hugely appreciated. The club hopes to return to the pool mid-April and all of these funds will help keep the club running and ensure everyone can get back into the water.
