Aim: To finally upscale production of our well-loved flax & seaweed hair gel that has been in high demand for the last 7 years at Tame the Mane.
The original vision in salon was to provide clients with knowledge and to experience the use of raw, edible plant power on their tresses.
In spite of our gifting of recipes to our beloved community, so many people are too time-constrained ⏰ to make any themselves but still want to reap the benefits of these products. 🌊
Therefore, the next move must be to bottle and label that 'moon-shine' properly and launch our beloved Mane Tamer under a whole new brand of its own. It deserves to be used and more widely available; the feedback for 7 years has been consistently outstanding.

Our clients should know how high our standards are, and that we shall never have long lists of ingredients with lots of unpronounceable names. We are not here to scientifically formulate a chemical concoction, as most cosmetic formulators and chemists do…we are trying to simply “preserve” (in both senses of the term) traditional recipes that could have been made at home. To reconnect our clients with our collective ancestral knowledge and not to trick them into thinking that our product shall fix all their hair problems.
In order to help our clients maximise the benefits, and ACTUALLY fix some of their hair problems, we shall provide insightful and thorough guidance on how to use products effectively…as we have found that education on technique, understanding, experimentation and time is key to truly transform one’s hair. So we shall ALSO be making lots of helpful content 😊
🌟 The rest of the amount is to begin formulating all of our other amazing products to be released slowly throughout 2025 and 2026. 🌟
This shall include a no-poo and low-poo range including shampoos, co-washes and leave in conditioners. 🌹 ⚖️ 🪄 🧴

Donators: You're welcome to collect your bottles of gel in salon ASAP (when we have stock) but this will be our original home-made, unlabelled bottles. You are also welcome to wait until our lab bottles are made and finalised! We unfortunately don't have a confirmed date for the lab bottles, but a lot of you have asked if you can pick up before Christmas and we're happy to give you our current product x
