Our aim is to come together as a community to create a magical Christmas Day for care leavers in Manchester.
The Christmas Dinner is an annual project founded in Manchester by the poet Lemn Sissay OBE, for communities to provide an amazing Christmas Day for care leavers aged between 18 and 25 – one they’ll never forget. The first dinner was held in Manchester in 2013 and has grown and developed ever since.
The vision for the Christmas Dinner is that no care leaver should feel alone on Christmas Day.

We come together as a community to create an incredible day for our guests filled with fun, laughter, and of course, lots of scrumptious food! We do everything that we can to source everything from the community, food, presents, a venue, our fabulous volunteers, even the decorations.
There are sometimes expenses that we have to pay for, that can be transport on the day or those additional extras that make the day that little bit more special. We would love it if you could help us ensure that we can create the most magical of days. Any funds that we raise that we don't use this year will go towards supporting next year's dinner.
