Who are we?
We’re Cwmbran RFC, one of the oldest rugby clubs in South Wales, proudly established in 1880. Our roots run deep in the town, and we’re more than just a rugby club — we’re a hub for community, pride, and opportunity.
Our Mini & Junior section supports children aged 5 to 16 across all backgrounds. We believe in developing skills, building friendships, and inspiring lifelong values through the power of rugby. Our volunteers, coaches, parents, and young players are at the heart of everything we do — and now, we’re ready to grow.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We’re crowdfunding to expand and develop our Mini & Junior rugby program, ensuring that every child in Cwmbran who wants to play rugby has the chance to do so.
We urgently need to:
- Recruit and train more volunteer coaches.
- Improve training facilities, especially for winter months.
- Buy essential kit and equipment for our growing teams.
- Launch a Girls Rugby Pathway to ensure inclusivity and equal opportunity.
- Reach more schools with rugby taster sessions and outreach events.
We’ve already seen how rugby transforms young lives — now we want to offer that experience to hundreds more
