We're seamlessly blending a creative approach to telling people about Quakers, with raising funds for St Elizabeth's Hospice in Ipswich.
by Leiston Quaker Meeting in Leiston, England, United Kingdom
*** We reached our target of £650 in just four days, so are now hoping we can make it a round £1,000. Remember every penny goes to St Elizabeth's Hospice in Ipswich so please be generous and let's make a real difference.***
Quakers do things differently, so at Leiston Quaker Meeting we jumped at the chance to combine creative Quaker outreach with fundraising for St Elizabeth's Hospice. We're raising £650 for the hospice and will be decorating our young hare. He'll be on display in Ipswich in the Spring, then will return to Leiston where he will pop up at events around the area, raising awareness of who Quakers are and what we do.
He joined our Meeting last Sunday, and without exception, everybody smiled when they entered the room. Just as St Elizabeth's Hospice brings a little happiness to families facing the end of a loved one's life, so too will our young hare spread happiness around the Leiston area.
It could be that you're a Quaker willing to support our innovative approach to outreach, or someone who at this time of year, is willing to support our local hospice. Every penny we raise will go to St Elizabeth's with the hare our reward for getting involved. Thank you for your support, and if you want to know more, just message us!
